* * * SOLD ON HOLD PENDING FUNDS / Armalite AR-180 Semi-Auto Rifle, manufactured by Armalite Costa Mesa, CA. serial # S 1699, cal. 5.56 mm, has a 20" barrel with flash hider and an excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain about 95% original phosphate finish thinning to brown primarily on the barrel. The black synthetic folding stock and forearm rate very good plus with light handling wear primarily on the left side of the stock from frame contact. Rifle includes a single factory AR-18 magazine. NOTE: ArmaLite set up pilot production in mid-1968 in its Costa Mesa, California plant. Armalite produced 4,018 AR-180s at its Costa Mesa plant between July 1969 and June 1972. Overall this is a very good plus to fine condition AR-180 rifle as described. Inv.: # 2-1713
