Merkel (Pre WW2 - S/N 17818) Model 201E, O/U, 12 GA, 28” Barrel with Ejectors, Full Chock, Weight 7.5 lbs, Double Trigger, Stock Dimensions 15” LOP; DAC 1 5/8 This Merkel has a dark European walnut; pistol grip checkered stock; handcrafted check mount with hog back comb and three piece forearm. Receiver is skillfully hand engraved with very elaborate English silver scroll work that encompasses both sides of the receiver the bottom of the receiver as well as the trigger guard and the forearm latch. It also has handcrafted shoulder strap mounts built into the stock and barrel. This firearm is in excellent condition for pre WW2 according to Herbert Wohlmuth Merkel gunsmith at Merkel USA operations in Trusselville, AL. Comes w/hard case and Merkel gun catalog.
