Hand made double set triggers. Iron mounts include an elongated barrel tang extending the on to the top of the comb for 3”. Trigger guard of classic “Tennessee Poor Boy” form with a full y enclosed curl at the tang. Side plate of “cigar” shape and butt plate with long tang and a toe plate. Lightly engraved lock plate signed “JOSEPH GOLCHER”. Full length walnut stock and original hickory ramrod. Exceptionally nice condition and 100% original and complete in every respect. One of the nicest Appalachian Longrifles we have had. We are unable to identify the maker but we know of two makers from the area that bear the “SP” initials but are unable to locate signed rifles by either to compare.
