This is a Third Model New York address and was manufactured in 1852. The mechanical function is very crisp and tight. The bore is very good with strong rifling, bright and shinny but does have some fine black powder corrosion. The barrel retains over 45% blue and the cylinder retains 90-95% scene. All of the markings are sharp and crisp. The case colors on the frame have turned dark and silvery. The back strap and trigger guard retain 50-55% silver. The grips retain 85-90% varnish. All of the safety pins on the cylinder remain intact. The trigger, hammer and rammer show nice case colors. This is a very early and desirable Colt Navy in this condition. I would consider trades for pre 1899 ANTIQUE PISTOLS and rifles on any of my items.. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO TRADE? Ask about our 30-90 day lay-away program.
