Custom Winchester Model 21 12ga (Maker/Engraver unknown). Original 1938 Winchester Model 21 Single/Select trigger receiver w/ matching and original barrels and forend iron. Receiver is highly modified and scalloped on the back of the receiver and border engraving in a "cobblestone" pattern lining all external metal parts, "R", "L" for barrel selector as well as "Safe" all inlayed in gold. Water table has milled "lightning" flutes. Barrels are 26" w/ Ejectors and marked "Imp Cyl" and "Mod" w/ factory matted/swamped rib and double beads. Very nice English walnut straight hand grip w/ nice point checkering w/ mullered borders in a hand rubbed oil finish w/ a dark reddish tint (not unlike a factory Winchester stock color) w/ a checkered wood butt. Beavertail forearm w/ full wrap point style checkering and mullered borders. All metal parts are rust blued. The gun has no maker's name (original or otherwise) but retains the Winchester proof marks on the barrels and flats. Work is very high quality in terms of metal, wood, fit and finish. Bores are bright and perfect; overall condition is 97% w/ a blemish in the blue where the receiver and forend iron meet and a few handling marks here or there on the butt stock. Gun is serial number: 13380, has 2 3/4" chambers, weighs: 6 lbs. 11 oz., 14" lop over checkered butt, 1 1/2" x 2 1/4" dimensions and no cast.
