Description:
25" tapered octagon Shilen barrel with integral front sight ramp and quarter rib. Fully figured Turkish walnut stock with Anson-pushbutton-release schnabel splinter forend with Boss-type forend iron, round-knob pistol grip, cheekpiece and scroll engraved heel&toe plates, point-pattern checkering enhanced with deep floral carving, Shelhamer chinstrap and discreet maker's logo inletted into underside of forend. Hand built hammerless toplever scalloped blitz action with thoughbolt mounting, bushed firing pin, holdopen toplever, pierced triggerguard with shotgun tang, and manual top tang safety. Custom quick-detachable scope mounts with engraved 1-inch rings. Action, forend iron and furniture engraved with very well cut deep-chiseled foliate scroll with gold-line highlights and with a deer inlaid in raised relief in silver and copper on the underside of the receiver. Pull: 14 1/4". Weight 7lbs, 15oz. An entirely hand built rifle, the sole authorship of one man who designed and built the one-of-a-kind action, stocked, carved, engraved and inlaid it. Built 2007. Nearly new condition.
