Remington Model 1870 U.S. Navy Rolling Block .50-70 caliber rifle. 32â?” long barrel. The bore has strong rifling with some pitting. The barrel has a bayonet lug. There is a faint cartouche in the wood at the left wrist. The butt plate is stamped U.S. on top. There is an inspectors initials (H.B.R.) on the barrel. The butt stock shows dents and dings. The forend shows dents and dings with a repair on the left at the receiver. The rod is original. The butt stock has some minor cracks at the receiver. Good condition overall.
