Description:
Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 Revolver - Cal. .32-44 - 6 1/2" Bbl. - SN 901 (1878-1880). Bore is absolutley perfect - bright and shiny with sharp rifling - action is crisp and itght with excellent timing, lock-up, and ejection. Metal is excellent with no pitting or corrosion and retains 98% original nickel finish - shows a few minor spots on barrel and cylinder but no wear at all - 2 line address on barrel - 1877 patent date - 1 7/16" cylinder - some faded case color remains on hammer Grips are excellent and undamaged with sharp, crisp checkering and logo. A very early and exceptionally sharp New Model No. 3 showing no wear, and is all original in the very rare .32-44 caliber and in excellent plus to near mint condition. An outstanding revolver for the S&W collector or early West enthusiast.
