I don't really know how to describe these but here goes. They are full sized SAAs with all Colt markings - 5.5." barrels They are plainly marked 22LR - not sleeved. They are serial number 2 & 3, the serial is in all locations including the barrels and cylinders. The receiver screws enter from the right side (??) One appears to have been test fired (has slight muzzle wear and some handling marks). Both have some poor storage/handling erosion on the backstraps (shown) One is 98% the other is 95% (fair estimate) Both have faux pearl grips (also numbered). Bores are perfect as are actions. Both have unusual hammer design (shown) Both have different "assembly" numbers on the butt. The story is that they came from a Colt inventory sale in the late 50s - early 60s and were prototypes that were rejected in favor of the smaller framed Frontier scout model. I have NO documentaion to that effect but also have no reason to question it. They have not been disassembled further than cylinder removal. Cylinders do NOT have the horse logo as do 2nd gen cylinders. These will be shipped and insured for the sale amount at no charge using registered mail to your FFL - there is NO RETURN on these advanced and very valuable collectibles - I have put up with too many sloppy disassemblys, firings, switched parts and other stupidity to allow such nonsense. I guarantee them EXACTLY as described. These are a must for any advanced Colt SAA collection.
