The bore is like the day Dakota shipped it out of Sturgis, South Dakota. This is a nice rifle. This piece was sold to an employee in 1993 as an action only. The rest of the story ends there but I am most positive it is a Dakota barrel, their 1/4 rib and sight plus it looks totally stocked by Dakota. It has all the trappings of being engraved by Jerry Davidson as he did a lot of engraving for the Dakota firm. All that said, it is a very nice rifle and the workmanship is as good as any Dakota I have had in hand.
