Mauser K-98 Sniper Serial Number 45XX k, Cal. 8 mm. The receiver is stamped "ar 42". This gun is really rather nice, retaining about +80% of the original blue. The bulk of the loss is the result off thinning and a light patina on the sight band, front barrel band, trigger guard and floor plate. There is no pitting anywhere. The barrel and the receiver are stamped Eagle/Swastika and Eagle/??**. The front barrel band and the floor plate are also numbered to the gun. The bolt and attendant parts are numbered 1930 a. The correct laminated stock is in excellent condition retaining about 85% of the original lacquer, with a modest amount of small nicks and dings. The bore still has a good amount of rifling with modest graying and should be a good shooter. The original mount is marked "duv", serial 5377, K98 k Z41, and Eagle/214. The original scope which is lightly clouded is marked, "cxn", ser. 120771, ZF 41 The scope comes with both sunshades. The gun is complete with cleaning rod, sight cover and original leather sling which is very nice condition. This sniper would very nice on the range or in a collection.....$3495. ** too small to read accurately.
