Description:
Benelli Model R1 ARGO .30-06 semi-auto in new condition, possibly unfired, made in Italy by one of Europe's finest gun makers. It is furnished with a Redfield variable 3x9 scope with a large 50mm objective, great for low light situations. The stocks are checkered black synthetic recoil reducer “ComforTech” with “GripTight” rubber inserts in the buttstock. One of the inserts forms a Monte Carlo comb. There is a solid black recoil pad at the buttstock with “V” shaped serrations on its rear face. The forend is wide and flairs inward at the top to form finger grooves. The gas plug protrudes from the front of the forend with a hole for mounting a sling and there is a sling attachment molded into the underside of the buttstock. The checkering is sharp to the touch. There are no mars in the checkering. The LOP measures 13 9/16” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. Stocks and metal all 99+%.
This a rugged state-of-the art Benelli R1 semi-auto rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield which is known as the ARGO in Europe, primarily because of the use of Benelli’s Auto Regulating Gas Operated system. It has the optional ComforTech GripTight synthetic stock that has a thin rubber coating to keep your hands from slipping in inclement weather conditions.
