Description:
Winchester Model 1894 Rifle "Special Order" .32 W.S. ~ Special Order "Delete" or No Rear Barrel Sight & Special Order Winchester Express Rifle Front Sight. Lyman called this sight the "Jack Sight", for the bright colored bead made it easier to see at night when jack lighting game with a spotlight or headlamps. Metal Condition: Good remaining bluing on barrel and magazine tube, some fading and deeper blue in protected areas. Some blue remaing on the left side of the reciever and in protected areas. Wood Condition: The wood was refinished with coats of lacquer but not recently. The butt-stock has a 1 5/8" crack in the left side of the wrist, a small chip in the toe and a sling swivel stud with a diamond insert (could be ivory, not sure). The forearm has a wood filler repair on the left side. Bore Condition: The rifled lands and grooves are well defined but there is some light surface corrosion throughout. The rifle should be a good shooter but will take a bit of extra cleaning in removing the additional fouling because of the light corrosion.MORE INFORMATION OR TO PURCHASE THE FIREARM:Please call the Cabela’s Gun Library office as the firearm is on hand and our retail staff is standing by ready to serve you.
