Payment Types Accepted: postal money orders Description: U.S. M1 Carbine, .30 cal. military. Serial #4130079, mfg. by National Postal Meter. Good to very good condition. Standard issue to U.S. officers during World War II. Interesting specimen that appears to have been part of a Korean lend/lease agreement, judging from the Korean paint marks on the right side of the butt stock. This was the bigest reason for me purchasing this M1. I personally would never think of refinishing this stock. "History" Very good price for a National Postal Meter, with markings and assessaries. Also I wold consider taking off $100 for me to keep the bayonet. Parkerization is 93% with some barrel wear.Stock has "W" in the well and has war marks as expected of a gun in two wars! Sling/oilier included. Parts count: Receiver is National Postal Meter, barrel has excellent bore and is an Underwood dated 8-44 with a flaming bomb. Round bolt is "U", op rod is "15", trigger assembly "N", hammer is "AM" Includes M8A1 Bayonet and scabbard in very good condition. Nice rig with lot of history from the BIG one and later in the Korea. Korea paint marks on the stock. Imagine the nazis an gooks this baby has shot and/or bayoneted. If it could only talk. Other markings: bayonet lug:S A front site: N clip release: M/wa butt plate: national post meter rear site:LR.CO. 7780060 bayonet lug:S A Barrel Band w/ Bayonet Lug manufactured by Donaldson Co., I took it shooting for the first time, it shoots wonderful and super accurate. I only shot around around 120 feet, and all in a quarter size. Also plinking apples on the ground as they are rolling i just kept those apple moving. Anyway a great shooter. Then once home it was cleaned. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
