Description:
This good quality boxlock side-by-side field gun might have been a bring back by a GI stationed in Germany in the 1960's. The sling attachments are sized for the smaller (3/4") European slings, and the barrels are marked with the maker's identification, "Made in W. Germany" and "Spezial Laufstahl - Bochumer Verein" (Special barrel steel - Bochumer Association). Receiver is roll-engraved with games scenes of ducks on the left side and pheasants on the right. This was a practical workingman's hunting shotgun built to quality standards but without the frills and refinements of more expensive offerings.
