This is one of the Army's earliest training rifles. Based on the Winchester Low Wall action and chambering the .22 short.....
The lovely specimen is stamped U.S. and has a Flaming Bomb on the receiver just behind the trigger. The remaining blue is about 10-15%. the balanced has grayed.....
There are no pits or rust other than an occasional pin prick. The walnut stock appears to have at least 85-90% of it's original finish, with only one small nick on the left stock finger grove. The rear sight is the original military issue side mounted sliding sight adjustable for the windage and elevation.....
The barrel has not been drilled and tapped and the bore appears just about factory new bright sharp and showing no use. $995.00 .
