Time capsule prewar dangerous game rifle with original oak and leather case with maker's label and tools, some of which are period. Rifle partially refinished (chopper lump barrels blacked, action and trigger bow reblued, recently regulated for 500gr Federals, target incl.) Mechanically excellent with near perfect bores, sound wood no cracks evident, strong original checkering, French polish finish is a redo. 24" bbls w 100/200/300 leaves, file cut full rib, front w flip up porcelain night sight. Scroll-engraved Webley long bar extractor action w auto safety, doll's head plus third bite, bushed strikers, London proofed, and tight! Screws are timed w some minimal marring. LOP 14 7/8" thru 1.5" Silvers pad, drops 1 11/16 & 2 11/16". Forend w Rigby latch. Case marked SG DAYTON MEDIA PA and gun does not show hard use typical of guns that came out of the colonies. A tad under 11 lb. A sound English DG double you can put to use right away without fuss.
