Description:
Serial #U8393, .303 British, 25” barrel with a very good bore that has some freckling within the grooves. This is a 1917 dated, Enfield-made rifle that has retained 80-85% of the arsenal reapplied blue finish that has faded to gray at the muzzle as well as along the high edges and projections. Further gray fading is present along the bearing surfaces of the bolt which is equipped with a No. 4 grooved cocking-piece. The walnut stock, forend, and hadnguards have numerous small handling marks and blemishes throughout the dark brown added military oil finish and the stock disk is missing from the right side of the butt. The rifle comes with a single magazine (numbered to a different rifle) and is equipped with a blue-gray R.A.F. canvassling. This is a nice S.M.L.E. in about very good condition overall. FFL or C&R
