Description: ****RETURNED TO LINDA & KEEP DIES, TOO***** This is a combination between old and new, matching an 1893 Grade-B "Black Powder Only" barrel with a 336 receiver that was made in 1974, according to the serial number. This is a black powder gun and you will need to use loads designed for black powder shooting. This is a well made pairing that provides what can be a wonderful rifle for re-enacters and people wanting to shoot more authentic ammunition--brass cartridges loaded with black powder. According to everything I have been able to find the barrel is an authentic 1893 Grade-B barrel attached to a modern, Model 336 receiver. The job is well done and the rifle is beautiful. The prior owner indicated that it shot well in conversation I had with him, but he didn't bother to tell me that the rifle had a newer receiver on it. Additional photographs to be added.
