Liberal amounts of thin blue over most of the barrel ranging from being a denser blue on the lower flats and around the wedge to a thinner blue on the sides and top of the barrel. Near perfect cylinder scene with the lighter rolled inner panels being clearly visible. There is also some liberal amounts of varnish still evident on the walnut grips.. Mechanically crisp and tight action. This fine Civil War era revolver is cased in what appears to be a 1920-1930s era box. Along with the gun is a fine original Manhattan bullet mold, an excellent nipple wrench, a VG+ generic style shell zinc pistol flask, and a VG+ brass Hicks cap tin. Interested parties should NOT put much value (other than as a display piece) on the case itself, but just the items inside. All-in-all, a VERY decent late Civil War era revolver. About Fine as described. $1795 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Antique: Yes |
