The 870 features a bottom-loading, side ejecting receiver, tubular magazine under the barrel, dual action bars, internal hammer, and a bolt which locks into an extension in the barrel. The action, receiver, trigger system, safety catch and slide release catch of the Remington Model 870 shotgun are well proven and with the ten millionth Model 870, it holds the record for best-selling shotgun in history.
A very nice Remington 870 Express, 12 ga., 30" barrel, full choke. Positive checkered stock with very few, hardly noticeable handling marks. Metal is also in good shape, about 95%. Bore is very good. This is a very good example, a nice bird gun, especially for waterfowl, pheasants, etc.
