James Kirk Boxlock Ejector, circa 1939, 16 bore, 2 1/2" chambers, original fluid steel 27 "barrels, original 1 oz. nitro proof and reproved to 3 Tons, smooth concave game rib engraved "James Kirk, 36 Union Buildings, Ayr", choked .003 Skt. and .022 IM, 14 5/8" LOP over a Silvers pad, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 3/16" DAH, 1/4"  cast off, splinter forend, straight grip, double triggers, 6 lbs. 1 oz., fine acanthus scroll engraving on action with maker's name engraved in a banner "James Kirk" on both sides, rib extension 3rd bite, automatic safety with "Safe" in gold, drop points, A&D push button forend release.  Nice, tight gun with some original case color remaining, bores dead on at .662 on both and min. wall thickness at .029 on both.  A nice, light Scottish game gun from the picturesque coastal town of Ayr.
