Description:
S# 444839B, 44 WCF, 24 inch octagon barrel, very good bore with strong rifling, small patches of light pitting and frosting. This 1893 MFG rifle features a German silver blade front sight and sporting flattop rear. Metal surfaces retain perhaps 40% original blue, fading to brown in some areas with many scratches and dings from use. Wood rates very good with a small repaired crack behind upper tang and a little added oil. Lever is slightly bent down causing lever catch to not work smoothly but still fasten. Most screws show very little sign of abuse. A very good, shootable 1873 for the collector. Antique
