BROWNING SUPERPOSED POINTER GRADE 12ga TWO BARREL SET
32 INCH TRAP and 28 INCH SKEET BARRELS
Up for your consideration is a Browning B-25 Superposed Pointer Grade 12 gauge Shotgun with two sets of barrels.
The two barrel set is encased in a Browning factory hard case. The first barrel is 32 inches and is choked Full (*) over Improved Modified (*-) and has white front and mid beads on the 5/8 inch wide (Broadway Trap) rib. The second barrel is 28 inches and is choked Improved Cylinder (**-) over Skeet (**$). it is equipped with a white front and mid bead on its 5/8 inch wide rib as well. The 28 inch barrel is missing its forend.
Both sets of barrels are serial numbered to the gun. The left side of the top barrel in both sets is marked "St. Louis, Missouri and Montreal P.Q.". The right is marked "12Ga - Shells 2 3/4" - Made in Belgium".
Manufactured in 1963 (serial number ends in "S3"), this Superposed Pointer features a silver grey receiver engraved by Browning master engraver A. Marechal. The engravings are the standard Superposed Pointer/Setter/game bird engravings with extensive scroll work on all exposed receiver surfaces as well as on the forend metal. Other features include a boxlock action, automatic ejectors and a single trigger.
The Select Walnut stock and forend (32 inch barrel) are in excellent condition. The forend is checkered as is the (flat knob) pistol grip. The pistol grip has a silver cap engraved "McCrory". A browning factory recoil pad is installed. The LOP is 13 1/2 inches. The drop heel is 1 5/8 inches.
Overall, this gun is in excellent (98%) condition.
NOTE: The use of steel shot is NOT recommended in any Superposed Series manufactured in Belgium (B-25 variations).
