Inman Meffert marked Hubertus Suhl Dural. 16 Ga over 6.5X57R. Marked 440 so manufacture date pre war of April 1940. Made in Germany. Has claw scope base but no rings and missing rear site. very nice bluing with 23.5 inch Barrels. Wood is very nice no nicks cracks or gouges. May have been revarnished at some time hard to tell. Engraving on wood and metal very nice and sharp. All screws are engraved and timed. Possible very small splinter of wood repaired on left side just above trigger guard. Bone Trigger gard and butt plate and pistol grip not cracked or broken. Euro style cheek piece on very nice butt stock. Both butt and barrel have sling swivels. Has G. Lechner Nurnberg. on top of engraved rib on barrel.
Wood and bluing all in very good condition for a 74 year old gun.
