Description:
Here is just what everyone needs to know! An original Snaphaunce Musket. Made prior to the invention of the Flintlock these were made in the mid 1500’s and on. It was found that 1000 Snaphaunce muskets were sent to the Virginia Colony in 1702, so they were used quite late even. This one is in a great shape, 60" overall length, about .60 cal. It has some munufactures marks. I am not shure if it is the North African Snaphaunce Musket maybe from different region or country. The condition: hammer not stay back, slight rust on some metal parts, one barrel band is loose, a small part of the end of the butt broke off, see the pictures. Overrule very good condition with the beautiful incrustation hand works. It would be a very unique wallhanger with a lot of history very rear to find it. Buyer pays actual shipping, email any questions and I will try to be helpful, Thanks....
