Browning Olympian grade bolt action rifle chambered for the .300 H&H magnum cartridge. The .300 H&H has long been a favorite big game round; ideal for elk and moose; and a favorite of Africa plains game hunters. This rifle was made in 1961 so it predates and of the “salt” problems that Browning experienced in the late 60’s. Very desirable long extractor Mauser action was masterfully engraved by Browning engraver: Gaston Vandermissen. The floor plate was engraved by Rene DeWil, who engraved at Browning from 1950 – 1980. The trigger guard was also signed by Vandermissen. There is some muzzle wear and the front side hood is missing but otherwise this is a spectacular Olympian.
