Description:
A very unique custom "original" model 65 Winchester in 218 Bee. A prominent New Yorker, Mr. Simon "Sam" J. Koch, of Buffalo. Mr. Koch made custom gun stocks and is well respected for his work. This rifle was purchased from Mr. Kochs private collection in 1969, Mr. Koch purchased the gun in 1930's from a dealer, and did all the stock work himself. Mr. Koch inlettted a comb, and chekered the original wood. He was a master craftsman, and the comb is so well blended that looks original to the rifle. He also attached the scope and said "a lot of woodchucks bit the dust". The model 65 is one the most rare of all Winchesters, only 5,704 were produced from 1933-1947. There is also a letter that will accompany this rifle with better above history of this rifle. The gun is in very good condition. It is truly "One of a Kind".
