Description:
Winchester 21 12 ga. mfg.1951 *LETTERED*. This is a wonderful example of why collectors and shooters alike LOVE the Model 21. Please see photos of letter for specs upon leaving factory in 1951. This smooth swinging class act boasts a checkered, concave, solid rib set atop a 26" set of bbls.. Bbls. choked WS-1 & WS-2. These guns have a real premium for the rib and the Skt. chokes. The gun has an auto safety and a single selective trigger. This 21 was ordered as a Field Grade but has many features of the more sought after Skeet Grade such as the checkered butt stock, which adds an enormous amount of panache as does the grip cap. This grip cap is Bake-o-lite. In 1950 Win. went to a steel cap but as this is a transition gun and a special order it was fitted with one of the older B.O.L. caps. LOP is 14". Pitch is 2 1/2". DH is 2 1/2" and DC is 1 9/16". The wood is highly figured with lots of charactor. Checkering is crisp and sharp. There is a ding on the bottom of the butt stock and a couple of small dents. There are scratches on the bottom of the receiver; probobly due to being carried by someone wearing a ring. There is also some blue wear on the trigger guard. There is a very small amount of pinprick rust on the bbls., at the face and a bit of discoloration at the chamber end of the bbls. on either side of the rib. The bore is bright and shiney w/o scratches. The Winchester white metal middle 94B and the Bradley red bead front 1/8" sights are still intact and in excellant condition. This is a 93-94% gun.Serial #'s on bbls., forearm and rcvr. match and all measurements are correct. Please feel free to call with any inquiries. Buyer pays actual shipping, handling and insurance.
