Remington pair of vest pocket singlr shot derringer s one is 32 rf short and the other is 22rf short
both have brass frames Looks to me as a gold wash over the brass. there are no visable serial # that i can detect. According to Norm Flayderman the very early ones were made with brass frames the barrel is marked Remingtons patent oct 1 1861 and are vivid........no other marking s except the engraving
wich would be after 1861 one scean depicts deadmans hand aces& eights..........the other shows dice in the 3 and 4 configuration. also show naked ladies on one and a naked man with 2 ladies . this may have been done as after market maybe simmons hard ware of the Abercrobie and fitch of new york city.
actions function very crisp and both hold full cock......the grips appear to me to be replaced crudly made of rose wood and look ok...also note viviid case colors on hammers and the sharp knurling ....also note only 500 produced in 32 rimfire...........any thing I have missed my picture will show I also think has a gold was over the brass..............circa 1861 to 1865.......
