Description:
Here's a piece of American history: An Allen & Thurber .32 cal 6-Shot Pepperbox with revolving barrel. Engraved "Allen & Thurber Worcester" and "Allens Patent 1845" on the striker bar (hammer?). Weapon functions w/o problem and appears to be complete, however I suspect two of the screws holding the nipple shroud are replacements (all four are different, but two just look a lot older due to patina on them). Pitting as seen in pictures on the barrel, shroud and frame. Slight build up of light rust forming around nipples and in the bore. There is a very small nick out of the bottom of one of the wood grips and some indentations on front of same grip (one for each kill perhaps??).
Cabela's has one of these (same specs) in similar condition listed in their Gun Library at $1300 which I feel is a bit overpriced, but you may disagree.
