Description:
Inv. 5090 Colt U.S. Model 1911, Serial Number 4220XX. This is a WW1 sidearm that has been Augusta Arsenal parkerized for WWII with a new barrel and fitted period grips. The gun currently retains about 85% of the AA finish. The bulk of the wear being even wear on the edges, the muzzle and from rubbing in the holster. There are no pits or rust to speak of. The grip straps show surprisingly little graying. The barrel is marked SP with a heat treat code. All parts match or are correct for the gun. The bore is extremely sharp and crisp and exhibits little if any use. It comes with one correct magazine. This modestly priced gun is just great for a re-enactor or punching the X ring on the range. $1295.
