Description:
German Drilling by unknown maker or possibly a guild made gun. Shotgun barrels are both 16 gauge. Left bore choked Full. Right bore choked Modified. Rifle bore is marked as 7.6x52 caliber. 26" barrels. All bores are clean, rifle bore has strong lands and grooves. Bluing on the barrels is slightly worn, but nothing that wouldn't be expected of a gun this age. The gun is believed to be made in August of 1924. The engraving on this gun is of extreme detail. Very quality craftsmanship was put into the engraving on this gun, and no initials were left to identify the craftsman. Wood is in great shape, very pretty wood. Checkering is strong on the stock and forearm. When switching from shotgun to rifle, the gun automatically flips up a rear sight for the rifle. Safety is located on the side of the gun. Length of Pull on the front trigger is 14 1/8". Rifle is ready for a sling. Trigger guard and buttplate are both made from horn. Buttplate has been engraved with a woven pattern into the horn. Barrels are also marked "KLETT-FLUSS-STAHL" not the typical "KRUPP-FLUSS-STAHL". Barrels also have a script "WK" on them which is the barrel maker's name from Wilhelm Kelber. The closest cartridge we could find to the 7.6x52mm that is marked on the barrel is a standard .30-30 Winchester or .30 WCF, if you have any information on this 7.6x52mm, please feel free to contact us.
