AMES U.S.N. MODEL 1860 NAVAL CUTLASS WITH ORIGINAL SCABBARD. 32" overall with 26" blade through original leather washer. Blade is in excellent condition with Ames three line address on one side and "1861" on the other. Perfectly straight as only a blade existing with it's original scabbard can be. Scabbard is in super fine condition with all it's rivets and stitching.Latter type scabbard obviously rarer than the cutlass. Brass hilt is in similar condition with all it's rivets and very few use dings as these are prone to get. Pommel cap is mint. "4 M" over "2 3" on hilt. Leather grip wrap has only traces remaining over original wood fluted with split running lengthwise but solid as a rock.
