Star 1863 Army Prec. Revolver:
Star 1863 Single action Army percussion Revolver, Civil War era, standard 8” barrel, .44 cal, standard markings STAR ARMS COMPANY NEW YORK ON left of frame and STARS PATENT JA 15 1856 on right of frame are fine and readable, gun metal is very clean with most of the blue finish on frame, barrel and cylinder, left grip has cartouche, grips have few dings, a very little light pitting. The gun works fine mechanically; the bore is shiny and has 95% of the rifling. A nice, clean, authentic, Civil War, Star revolver
