Francotte was , and still is,  one of the finest gun makers of Leige Belgium. This gun is made to the licesed exact specs of the Dean & Adams Model of 1851 self cocking .54 bore percussion revolver.  It was made just prior to the The Crimean War (October 1853 – February 1856)   a conflict in which Russia lost to an alliance of France, Britain, the Ottoman Empire, and Sardinia. It is in beautiful condition with at least 80% or more of the high polish blue finish. Fine engraving on the receiver. Near mint walnut stocks. Near mint shiny bore.  Action works like new and lock up is tight. Nice original blue on nipples indicate this gun has seen little to no actual use. Stamped on left side with Adams 1851 pat.  as well as Adams Patent no 7769 followed by AF (Francotte stamp)  Top strap is also stamped with London reference.  Gun is standard with 6.5" barrel.  Antique so can be shipped anywhere inc Europe
