Description:
Serial #13, 9mm Pinfire, 2" barrels with excellent bores. This is a very handsome pistol that retains virtually all of the original bright blue on the barrel cluster and 90% of the original nickel remaining on the frame with mild freckling present along the gripstraps. The edges of the loose, floral scroll engraving are crisp and sharp and the folding trigger, front cylinder spar, and hammer retain most of their original straw color. The walnut grips are likewise in fine shape having very little wear or handling blemishes and only a small amount of flattening to the points. The original screw-in ejector pin is still present in the butt. The mechanism is tight as a drum and functions flawlessly. These pepperboxes are almost always found heavily used, in smaller calibers, and without any finish making this example a true rarity and an excellent addition to any collection of antique or unusual guns.
