Description:
Very few, if any, fine shotguns at this price offer the features of the Orvis Field Grade. The artisan gunsmiths who build these double-barrel shotguns use a very high grade of walnut in the stocks and forearms, and include special touches such as a wooden butt plate, hand-checkering, and accent engraving. Each frame is gauge specific for a perfectly balanced gun in every configuration, offering a pleasurable shotgun shooting experience with proper recoil expectation to the size and weight of the gun.
Both shotguns are available in 12, 20, 28 gauges, and .410 bore.
Every shotgun is color-case hardened with chrome-lined barrels and hard black chrome exterior satin finish. Each gun has an automatic safety and mechanical triggers. All field shotgun models except the .410 (a fixed-choke gun) come with five screw-in chokes.
The 28 gauge and .410 bore in both configurations feature extractors. The 12 and 20 gauge in the over/under model feature automatic ejectors.
