BOER WAR ROYAL CAMERONIAN-SCOTTISH RIFLE REGT. OFFICER’S SWORD AND SCABBARD CIRCA 1890. Pattern 1854 Infantry Officer’s sword with Queen Victoria cypher on it’s 32” blade which is also etched with martial motifs on both sides. Nickel plated steel guard and scabbard. Guard with the Cypher of the Royal Cameronians which were also called the Scottish Rifles. All original and in very good condition with the original sharkskin grip wrap and the original triple grip wire. The Cameronians saw much action in the Boer War including the Relief of Ladysmith and at Spion Kop. Were one of the most famous regiments of WW1.
