BOXER REBELLION WM. H. HORSTMANN & SON U.S. MARINE CORPS OFFICER’S SWORD CA. 1900. 37” o/a with 32” etched blade with “UNITED STATES MARINES” etched panels on both sides. Brass hilt with floral etching on the straps with some gold plating remaining. . Early style grip rivets with plain domed heads. Maker’s round trademark cartouche on ricasso. Very good all original condition with moderate wear to the cross guard and grip slabs with light mellowing. Old brass collection tag on guard. Blade with nearly all the etching. Nice and quite rare with the Marine Officer corps so small during that period.
