Parker GHE 16 Gauge SxS Shotgun
30" PARKER SPECIAL STEEL, SKELETON BUTT

This is a properly restocked Parker, sn238482 built in 1935, with Parker fluid steel barrels 30" long choked .023/.023 or IM/IM in today's choke constriction designations. Parker only produced 607 GH Grade 16ga. guns with Parker Special Steel barrels, and only 118 were in 30" length, only about 50 of those with ejectors. Rare gun. Barrels retain 90% original blue, mid bead, ivory front bead, 2 5/8" chambers (made for 2 3/4" shells, ask if you are wondering why), tight ribs, minimum wall thickness 21 thou right, 20 thou left, excellent bores, crisp lettering.
Action is tight on face, lever centered, 10% case color, excellent screws, deep sharp engraving, crisp double triggers break at 4.25 right/5lbs. left, trigger guard 98% blue, ejectors strong and well timed, mechanically excellent.
Butt stock is well executed replacement with nice figure, excellent checkering in Parker GH pattern, butt is skeleton and looks to be factory original engraving as it is less engraved than a DH grade gun. That is interesting and we will order a letter to see if the gun was special ordered as such. Forend is original to the gun. Wood to metal fit is perfect, 14 1/4" LOP to skeleton/checkered butt, 2 1/4" drop at heel, 1 5/16" drop at comb, neutral cast, no splits or cracks
Gun weighs 7 1/4lbs. and balances nicely in hand. We can open the right choke for $90, reblue barrels for $250, Turnbull case colors for $650 complete, in case you want the gun prettied up. It is in great shape for the field as she is.
