Description:
A big top solid frame revolver, much like the Colt Frontier with a 5 1/2' barrel. Action is good and tight,on single action only, like the old cowboy guns. The bore is dark but has strong rifling and clean metal. The outside metal is smooth grey, and the only markings are: FOR WINCHESTER CARTRIDGE (44-40 IN BLACK POWDER ONLY) on the top of the barrel.Top of frame states: FRONTIER ARMY. And the gun has Belgium proofs. Has a lanyard ring.The grips are smooth walnut and fit well. The gun looks like it saw some action in the old west.This gun was made for black powder .44-40 cal. ammo.Front sight is a blade type, of original height.
