Springfield Trapdoor Model 1873 Carbine Pre-Custer Era 30,4XX. Reflects 10th Cavalry Issue. First Model features: round-curved early trigger, early model course cross-cut hammer knurling, unmarked early barrel with witness mark - excellent bore, long wrist stock, nice cartouche with proof "P" and sub-inspector "AL" next to "P", correct ladder rear sight with slotless scew heads, barrel band with stacking swivel with patented date, butt plate marked "US" without access door for cleaning rods. correct bowed trigger guard, breachblock marked "Model 1873, below eagle head symbol with crossed arrows & US, lockplate "US Springfield 1873" , metal finish approximately 75% to 85% , stock condition about 85% to 95%, NO BUGGERED SCREWS Museum quality condition.
