#3517 Allen & Wheelock Center Hammer Lipfire Navy Revolver, RARE
This is an Allen & Wheelock Center Hammer 36 caliber lipfire 6 shot Navy revolver and was made in the early 1860s. Only 500 were made and this one has an 8” barrel. Collectors consider these as a secondary martial arm. They were discontinued because of infringement pressure from Smith & Wesson. It retains 35% fading blue with 40% fading case colors on the hammer and trigger guard. The mechanical function is very good sharp and crisp. The bore and cylinder is very good plus condition with bright and shinny bore and cylinder. The grips retain over 95% varnish. This is serial number 444 and is all matching numbers. All of the markings are sharp and crisp. This is a very hard to find secondary Martial revolver.
