#3577 U.S. Model 1884 Trapdoor Springfield Rifle 97%
This is a Model 1884 U.S. Trapdoor Springfield Rifle with a stock cartouche date of 1887. This is serial number 402041 and is 45-70 caliber. This is one of the nicest 1884 rifles that I have encountered and even has a front site protector cover. The mechanical function is excellent + crisp and tight. The bore is excellent + bright and shinny. The wood is excellent + with only a few very tiny minor stock imperfections. You probably could look for many years and still not find a nicer Model 1884 rifle. They just don’t come any better.
