#3579 Colt Model 1848 Square Back Baby Dragoon Revolver
This is a Rare Colt Model 1848 Baby Dragoon 31 caliber percussion revolver. The serial number is 12024 and was made in 1850. All of the serial numbers including the wedge and cylinder arbor are matching. It has the square-back trigger guard, stagecoach hold up scene, oval cylinder stop and 4” barrel. It retains 30% silver on the back strap and trigger guard. The cylinder retains 85-90% cylinder scene and has very crisp and tight mechanical function. The bore is very good, bright and shinny and the frame shows fading case colors. The grips retain 40% grip varnish and only small traces of blue remain. This is a Rare Colt Model 1848 Baby Dragoon percussion revolver with oval stop slots and is very difficult to find in any condition now days.
