Description:
This pump action rifle is a great shooter. It takes .22 cal. short, long and long rifle rounds- interchangeably. The barrel (20 ") patent dates are : June 26, '88, Dec. 6, '02, and May 30, 1911. I believe this one was made in 1913. There are only traces of blueing left with some staining and/or discolorization. The wood stock is sound with no splits or cracks but with many dings. The original butt plate has a crack but appears to be sound and not a problem. It is mechanically sound-strong action. The feeding tube functions as designed. The bore is dark with no sign of rust- probably needs a good cleaning, still a good shooter. .22 cal. is one we can still buy and afford to shoot. Hate to part with it but I'm getting old ( the "boss" says I'm already old)
