No return on used guns. Payment Types Accepted: mo or cashiers check Description: This SC grade shotgun was built in 1917, first year of SBT production. It is in very good to excellent condition. Blue on bbl. is good, bore bright and shiny. Virtually no finish on the receiver, engraving is fine with some darkness inside the engraving where the finish was. I talked to one of the guys at Turnbull and asked him about possibly re-case hardning the receiver. He first ask if it looks like it was nickel plated. I said, "that is exactly correct". He told me that Parker did not put any clear varnish on their case hardning and as a result, time, uv rays, hands etc. have made the finish go away. Well, it is almost a 100 years old, I hope I look this good when I get to 100! Bottom line, no re-finish. Locks up tight. Wood is fine with a few dings and repaired chipped places, it does appear to have had a coat of finish done by a professional some time ago, most likely when the replacement Silvers pad was put on. Great shooter and very collectable. Bbl. length is 34", LOP:14 1/8", DAC:1 3/8", DAH:1 1/2". Any questions please call: 479-253-5008 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
