Description:
Serial #839938, .38 Special, 2" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This is a 1965 manufactured revolver that has retained 95% plus of the original blue finish with mild silvering along the edges and projections as well as a light turn-ring around the base of the cylinder. There are a few very small peen marks at the muzzle and there are some specks of mild freckling on the sides of the hammer spur. The checkered walnut Colt medallion grips are in fine shape with very little flattening of the points and only some negligible handling marks on either panel. The lock-up is tight and the action functions flawlessly. The revolver is housed in a period Hunter-made black basket-weave belt holster which is in fine condition exhibiting very little wear. This is a fine example of a post-war Detective Special and would still make a nice carry gun. FFL
