Holland & Holland Royal Sidelock Ejector, circa 1898, 12 bore, 2 3/4" chambers, 26" replacement fluid steel barrels in 1940 with original nitro proof of 1 1/8 oz. and a 1990 reproof of 850 BAR and for 2 3/4" chambers, choked .006 Skt. and .032 Lt. Full, barrel tubes engraved "Holland & Holland on right and "98 New Bond Street, London" on left tube, concave game rib, ejectors, 6 lbs. 4 oz., 14 7/8" LOP over a 5/8" ebony butt plate, 1 5/8" DAC, 1 7/8" DAH, 1/4" cast off for right hand shooters, best English scroll and rose engraving pattern with the maker's name on the sides of the action, the bottom of the action engraved the same with "Royal Ejector, Patent No. 20979", the fences have finely carved large acanthus scroll, straight grip, splinter forend, double triggers, vacant gold oval in stock, nicely figured English walnut stock, gold line cocking indicators, automatic safety with "SAFE" in gold, "2" in gold on top lever, top lever engraved "Patent Ejector". Cased in period case that has been relined with replacement maker's label, gun, and charge card along with some accessories. Excellent condition gun with bores dead on at .729 on both and min. wall thickness at .026 and .021.
